Meet Nazli Usaklioglu
Nazlı Ece Ekici Usaklioglu is a Partner at U2U Law and legal professional known for her dedication to empowering clients through the law. Nazli leads the Immigration and Family Law departments and brings results-driven and human-centered advocacy to her practice. Whether she is reuniting families, helping clients start a new life, or guiding talents, medical doctors, and entrepreneurs through a visa or green card application, Nazli addresses legal complexities so that clients can focus on new beginnings.
Nazli holds two LL.M. degrees. She most recently studied at UCLA School of Law, where she graduated with distinction and received the Dean’s Tuition Fellowship. Nazli is also a published legal scholar whose work has been cited internationally by academics. Her master’s thesis, The Possibility of Robot Arbitrators, explores the future of international arbitration where artificial intelligence could take on the role of an arbitrator and was awarded with merit. During her master’s studies at UCLA, Nazli also authored the academic article Cryptomnesia: Subconscious Copying, which examines legal questions involving unintentionally similar works, particularly in music.
In addition to her legal excellence, Nazli is a trained pianist and composer who completed musical studies through the Associated Boards of the Royal Schools of Music. Composing and performing strengthened her analytical thinking and understanding of artists’ legal needs.
She is fluent in English, Turkish, and German and is currently learning Spanish. This academic, artistic, linguistic, and legal background gives Nazli a global perspective that allows her to connect with clients and colleagues from many backgrounds.
