Olivia Dopler

Olivia Dopler is a co-founder and partner at LDY Law, PC, where she focuses on representing landlords and property owners in residential and commercial landlord-tenant disputes across the San Francisco Bay Area. Her practice is especially shaped by the realities of San Francisco’s strictly regulated local environment, where even matters that appear straightforward at first can quickly become technical, high-stakes, and procedurally demanding. She advises clients through that complexity with a combination of courtroom experience, local procedural fluency, and practical strategic judgment.

Olivia’s work includes Ellis Act evictions, owner move-in evictions, fault-based evictions, temporary evictions for repairs, rehabilitation, and capital improvements, tenant buyout negotiations, rent board mediations and arbitrations, rent increases, fair housing compliance issues, and related litigation and counseling throughout the landlord-tenant relationship. She has tried cases in civil court and guided clients through both contested and negotiated resolutions, giving her a well-rounded perspective on when a matter should be pressed aggressively and when a negotiated path may better protect the client’s goals.

Olivia earned her B.A. in political science from the University of California, Davis, where she graduated with highest honors and received the Clyde Jacobs and Larry Peterman Distinguished Scholar Award. She earned her J.D. from Golden Gate University School of Law in San Francisco, where she served as an associate editor of the Golden Gate University Law Review. She is a member of the State Bar of California and was named to the Northern California Super Lawyers Rising Stars list from 2018 through 2023.

She is also an active speaker on landlord-tenant and real estate topics, with presentations for CEB, the California Lawyers Association, the Bar Association of San Francisco, the Small Property Owners of San Francisco Institute, and other professional organizations.
