Peter M. King

Peter M. King is a founding partner of King & Jones, a Chicago litigation firm with a national practice. For more than 40 years, Peter has litigated and tried business disputes before judges, juries, and arbitrators across the United States, experience that has prepared him for any courtroom challenge. His practice centers on commercial and business litigation, including shareholder disputes in closely held companies, breach of contract and fiduciary duty claims, partnership and LLC disputes, trade secret litigation, and high-stakes trust and estate matters involving will contests and claims against trustees.

Peter brings a credential few trial lawyers can offer: he is a licensed Certified Public Accountant, giving him firsthand financial acumen that proves invaluable in complex business disputes where the numbers tell the story. A cum laude graduate of IIT Chicago-Kent College of Law and a member of its National Trial Advocacy Team, he also trained at the renowned Trial Lawyers College in Dubois, Wyoming. He is admitted to practice in Illinois, the U.S. Federal Courts, and the U.S. Supreme Court, and is a member of the American, Illinois, and Chicago Bar Associations as well as the Forbes Business Council. His published work includes "Crimes of the State: Obtaining Justice for the Wrongfully Imprisoned" in the ABA's Litigation Magazine.
