Meet Preston Easley
Preston Easley, Esq. is the founder and owner of the firm and a nationally recognized maritime and personal injury attorney with more than 40 years of experience. Unlike many attorneys who practice maritime law from a purely legal perspective, Mr. Easley brings firsthand knowledge of the maritime industry, having worked and served extensively at sea and in shipyards.
Mr. Easley is a graduate of the United States Naval Academy and served five years on active duty as a U.S. Navy officer, including service as a deck officer aboard a fast frigate and as a patrol boat commander. He later served in the reserves aboard a tank landing ship. During law school, he further deepened his industry experience by working as a longshoreman and marine machinist at Todd Shipyard.
Throughout his distinguished legal career, Mr. Easley has secured landmark decisions before the United States Supreme Court, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, the California Supreme Court, and the California Courts of Appeal—many of which significantly expanded legal protections and rights for injured workers. At the appellate level, he is widely regarded as a pioneer in reversing adverse rulings and shaping new law in maritime and workplace injury cases.
Mr. Easley has personally handled numerous catastrophic injury cases involving ships, tugboats, barges, dredges, cranes, scaffolding, forklifts, and defective products and equipment. His practice focuses primarily on representing injured maritime and construction workers throughout California and Hawaii.
