Meet Rachel Sabo Friedmann

Rachel Sabo Friedmann has spent her career helping employees navigate some of the most challenging moments of their professional lives. In doing so, she has also built a law firm defined by intentional growth, thoughtful advocacy, and a commitment to treating every client as a true partner in the legal process.

As a co-founder of The Friedmann Firm, Friedmann has helped establish one of Ohio’s leading employee-side employment law firms. Her practice focuses exclusively on representing employees in matters involving discrimination, retaliation, wrongful termination, wage and hour disputes, and other workplace issues. Through disciplined advocacy and a client-centered approach, she has earned a reputation for helping individuals move forward with confidence during some of the most stressful and uncertain moments of their careers.

A Foundation Built on Discipline
Growing up outside Cleveland, Friedmann spent much of her childhood playing competitive sports. The experience instilled a strong sense of discipline, perseverance, and work ethic—qualities she credits with shaping her approach throughout college, law school, and her legal career.

She has often reflected on the encouragement she received from her parents, who taught her that hard work and persistence create opportunities over time. Those lessons became the foundation for a career defined by careful preparation, determination, and a willingness to invest fully in every client she represents.

While attending Capital University Law School, Friedmann met her future husband and law partner, Pete Friedmann. Together, they discovered an early passion for employment law and made the intentional decision to dedicate their careers to representing employees. Rather than treating employment law as one of many practice areas, they built an entire firm around that commitment.

Building a Different Kind of Employment Law Firm
For Friedmann, effective representation begins with listening.

She believes employees deserve more than legal advice—they deserve to know they have been heard, to understand their options, and to work toward outcomes that reflect their own goals rather than someone else’s expectations. That philosophy has shaped both her personal practice and the culture of The Friedmann Firm.

From the firm’s emphasis on prompt communication and thorough case evaluations to its commitment to guiding clients through every stage of the legal process, Friedmann has helped create an environment where legal strategy and client experience receive equal attention. She understands that workplace disputes often affect every aspect of a person’s life, and she approaches each matter with the goal of providing both practical guidance and meaningful advocacy.

Leadership Beyond the Practice
Friedmann’s leadership within the legal profession reflects the same philosophy that guides her work with clients. Whether mentoring younger attorneys, serving in leadership positions, or speaking on developments in employment law, she has consistently invested in strengthening both the profession and the community it serves.

She has served as President of the Women Lawyers of Franklin County, participated in leadership initiatives through the Ohio State Bar Foundation, and remains active in professional organizations dedicated to advancing the practice of employment law. Her accomplishments have earned recognition from Super Lawyers and other respected legal organizations, while her work has included significant employment litigation affecting thousands of workers across Ohio.

For Rachel Sabo Friedmann, employment law has always been about helping people move forward. Whether guiding an employee through a difficult workplace dispute, building a firm dedicated exclusively to employee advocacy, or mentoring the next generation of lawyers, she approaches every opportunity with the same qualities that have defined her career from the beginning: discipline, thoughtful leadership, and an unwavering commitment to serving others.
