Robert A. Campbell

Robert A. Campbell is a founding partner of Farmer, Cline & Campbell, a personal injury law firm serving Charleston, Beckley, Morgantown, and the surrounding communities of West Virginia. For more than three decades, he has represented victims of catastrophic injury and wrongful death, with a trial practice built specifically around the vehicles and industries that cause the most serious harm.

Raised in southern West Virginia, Campbell earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from West Virginia University in 1989, graduating summa cum laude. He went on to West Virginia University College of Law, where he graduated at the top of his class in 1992, served as student works editor for the West Virginia Law Review, and was inducted into the Order of the Coif. He was admitted to the West Virginia State Bar that same year and has since been admitted to practice before the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Northern Districts of West Virginia and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.

Campbell's caseload centers on tractor-trailer and commercial motor vehicle collisions, automobile and motorcycle wrecks, and catastrophic injuries including traumatic brain injury and paralysis. Rather than learning the trucking industry secondhand, he completed hands-on training to operate large trucks and holds a Class A Commercial Driver's License — putting him in a small minority of trucking-accident attorneys who have actually driven the vehicles at the center of their cases.

His trial work has been recognized by the National Trial Lawyers as a Top 10 Trucking Trial Lawyer, Top 25 Motor Vehicle Trial Lawyer, and Top 25 Brain Injury Trial Lawyer, and he has held Super Lawyers honors in West Virginia continuously since 2017. He is a member of the Million Dollar and Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forums, the Academy of Truck Accident Attorneys, and the Association of Interstate Trucking Lawyers of America.
