Rodney Gould

For more than 30 years, Rodney Gould has built a legal career that spans government service, corporate representation and dedicated advocacy for individuals and families. Today, he brings that breadth of experience to clients through the Law Office of Rodney Gould in Sherman Oaks, California.

Mr. Gould was admitted to practice in 1991 and began his career in Washington, D.C., as a civil prosecutor for the United States Postal Service, where he handled mail fraud matters. His government work later expanded when he was appointed a special assistant U.S. attorney for the District of Columbia with the Department of Justice. These early years gave him a strong foundation in investigation, case preparation and federal litigation.

After moving into private practice, Mr. Gould went on to represent some of the most recognized companies in the country, including Bank of America, Starbucks, USAA and MCI. His litigation work has taken him into federal courts nationwide, giving him valuable insight into how complex disputes are handled at the highest levels.

Closer to home, Mr. Gould has handled a significant number of probate disputes in Superior Courts throughout California. He is also an experienced appellate attorney who has achieved favorable outcomes in appeals before multiple districts of the California Courts of Appeal, allowing clients to benefit from his ability to manage a case from the trial level all the way through appeal.

Originally from Michigan, Mr. Gould completed his undergraduate studies at Eureka College in Eureka, Illinois, before earning his law degree from the University of Illinois College of Law in Urbana.

Outside the courtroom, Mr. Gould has devoted considerable time to nonprofit and faith-based organizations. His board service, past and present, includes AIDS Project Los Angeles, Project Angel Food, Eureka College, the National City Christian Church Foundation, the Disciples Seminary Foundation, Christian Church Homes of Northern California and First Christian Church of North Hollywood.
