Meet Scot Moga

Scot Thomas Moga is an Upland attorney and founder of Moga Law Firm, where he represents clients throughout San Bernardino County, Riverside County, and the Inland Empire in workers’ compensation, estate planning, probate, trust administration, and related legal matters. With more than 30 years of legal experience, Mr. Moga provides practical, client-focused counsel to injured workers, families, individuals planning for the future, and those navigating the probate process after the death of a loved one.

Since founding Moga Law Firm in 1996, Mr. Moga has built a practice centered on helping people through highly personal and often stressful legal situations. In workers’ compensation cases, he assists injured employees with claims involving medical treatment, temporary disability, permanent disability, vocational issues, construction injuries, and death benefits. His experience allows him to guide clients through the California workers’ compensation system, explain their rights, and pursue the benefits available under the law.

Mr. Moga also advises clients in estate planning, probate, and trust administration matters. His estate planning practice includes helping individuals and families prepare wills, living trusts, and related planning documents designed to protect assets, clarify wishes, and reduce future uncertainty. In probate and trust administration matters, he works with families and fiduciaries who need clear legal guidance during the administration of an estate or trust.

A second-generation attorney, Mr. Moga is known for combining assertive advocacy with clear communication and a compassionate approach. Whether a client is dealing with a workplace injury, preparing an estate plan, or handling the legal responsibilities that follow a family member’s passing, he takes time to explain the process and help clients make informed decisions.

Mr. Moga earned his J.D. from the University of La Verne College of Law in 1996 and his Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from the University of San Diego School of Business Administration in 1990. During law school, he served as a writer and editor for the *Journal of Juvenile Law* and received American Jurisprudence Awards for his studies in torts and property. He is admitted to practice in California and before the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California.

Born and raised in the San Gabriel Valley, Mr. Moga has longstanding ties to the Inland Empire and surrounding communities. In 2011, he was appointed as a Planning Commissioner for the City of Upland and was reappointed in 2012.
