Stewart Salwin

Stewart Salwin learned criminal law from Alan Dershowitz and contracts from Elizabeth Warren, graduating cum laude from Harvard Law School in 2009. Before that came a degree in government and history at Georgetown University and a stretch working on Capitol Hill in the office of Senator John McCain. Then he came home to Arizona.

At the Maricopa County Attorney's Office, Stewart spent nearly five years as a Deputy County Attorney, tried more than 70 criminal cases, and was named the office's Attorney of the Month in 2011. That is the experience he now puts on the other side of the courtroom: he knows what the prosecutor across the table is thinking because he sat in that chair first.

He has handled more than 700 matters as defense counsel, most of them DUIs, and starts every one with a straight assessment of the best case, the worst case, and the most likely outcome.
