Meet Tiffany Yee
Tiffany W. Yee is a co-founder and partner at LDY Law, PC, with more than a decade of landlord-tenant litigation experience focused primarily on residential landlord matters in the San Francisco Bay Area. Her practice centers on the issues many landlords face when local procedure, client communication, and practical strategy all matter at the same time. She represents clients in tenant buyout agreements, owner move-in matters, Ellis Act evictions, San Francisco Rent Board proceedings, rent increases, mediations, arbitrations, and related strategic counseling. She also represents landlords sued by tenants and serves as counsel in mediation when a dispute has already escalated.
Tiffany is known for a practical, grounded approach to landlord representation. She understands that many clients are not looking for unnecessary conflict. They want clear advice, a realistic strategy, and a path that protects their interests without creating avoidable cost or exposure. For that reason, she is especially thoughtful about when a matter should be resolved through buyout or settlement and when a firmer litigation posture is the better course. Her work reflects a strong awareness that legal strategy must also make sense in the real world for the client.
That practical orientation has made Tiffany a valuable resource not only for landlords, but also for the brokers, agents, and referral partners who regularly encounter landlord-side tenancy questions in the Bay Area. She speaks conversational Cantonese and is able to communicate directly with many Chinese-speaking clients in the firm’s referral network and local market, an ability that adds meaningful value in communities where trust, clarity, and direct communication are especially important.
Tiffany earned her B.A. magna cum laude from San Francisco State University in 2008 and her J.D. from Golden Gate University School of Law in San Francisco in 2012. She is a member of the State Bar of California and is also admitted to practice before the Northern District of California. She is an active member of the Asian American Bar Association of the Greater Bay Area and previously served as Co-Chair of its Solo and Small Firm Committee for three years. She was named to the Northern California Super Lawyers Rising Stars list from 2018 through 2022 and was selected to Northern California Super Lawyers from 2024 through 2026.
In addition to her legal practice, Tiffany has spoken on landlord-tenant and real estate topics for organizations including CEB, the California Lawyers Association, the Asian American Bar Association of the Greater Bay Area, and the Chinese Real Estate Association of America. At LDY Law, she helps clients approach difficult landlord matters with steady judgment, practical communication, and a strategy built around what will actually work.
