Ty Stimpson

Ty Stimpson is a highly regarded trial attorney who leads Varghese Summersett’s Personal Injury Division. Known for his tenacity in the courtroom and compassion for his clients, Ty is dedicated to helping individuals and families whose lives have been upended by serious injuries or wrongful loss through no fault of their own.

A battle-tested advocate and skilled negotiator, Ty represents victims of catastrophic car and 18-wheeler accidents, motorcycle crashes, defective products, workplace injuries, and wrongful death cases across Texas. A former Division I football player, he is unafraid to take on powerful insurance companies and is always prepared to take cases to trial to ensure his clients’ rights are protected and their voices heard.

A native Texan, Ty grew up in Arlington and played linebacker at Baylor University before earning his Juris Doctor from Thurgood Marshall School of Law and a Master of Laws degree from St. John’s University School of Law. He began his legal career as a prosecutor with the Dallas and Tarrant County District Attorney’s Offices, where he handled hundreds of cases—including capital murder—gaining invaluable courtroom experience that now fuels his success in personal injury litigation.

Ty has earned widespread recognition for his work, including being named a Top Personal Injury Attorney by Fort Worth Magazine, 360 West, and Southlake Style, as well as a National Trial Lawyers Top 40 Under 40 honoree. He has also been recognized as Fort Worth Inc.’s 40 Under 40, Young Professional of the Year by the Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce, and a “Legend in the Making” for Law. Outside the courtroom, Ty remains deeply involved in the community, giving back whenever possible.
