Meet William Federman
William B. Federman is the founder and managing partner of Federman & Sherwood and brings more than forty years of extensive trial and appellate experience in complex litigation. His practice focuses on data breach litigation, class actions, securities litigation, and other high-stakes matters involving consumer protection, financial misconduct, and product liability.
Mr. Federman has represented clients in federal and state courts nationwide, in multidistrict litigation proceedings, before arbitration panels, and before the Supreme Court of the United States. He leads the firm’s class action practice and has served as lead counsel, co-lead counsel, or a member of executive steering committees in hundreds of class actions across the country. Through his advocacy, Mr. Federman has recovered hundreds of millions of dollars on behalf of individuals and investors.
Widely respected in the legal community for his ethical standards and courtroom skill, Mr. Federman holds the Martindale-Hubbell AV Preeminent® rating, the highest peer-review distinction for legal ability and ethics. He has also served on the Oklahoma County Bar Association Ethics Committee and the Oklahoma Bar Association Rules of Professional Conduct Committee.
Mr. Federman is a frequent speaker for national, state, and local bar associations and has authored multiple scholarly articles on securities law, corporate privilege, and complex litigation. Outside his legal practice, he enjoys supporting the Oklahoma City Thunder and spending time with his dog, Reggie.
