Meet A.J. Bruning
St. Louis personal injury attorney A.J. Bruning Jr. was born and raised in the St. Louis area. After receiving a degree in Business Administration from the University of Missouri-Columbia, he returned home and attended St. Louis University’s School of Law.
A.J. joined Leritz, Plunkert & Bruning, P.C. after leaving the Circuit Attorney’s Office in the City of St. Louis. At the Circuit Attorney's Office, A.J. tried over 50 cases. A.J. also presided over the Grand Jury and was the head of the Bomb and Arson unit. In 2011, A.J. was honored with the Circuit Attorney “Trial Star” for winning seven jury trials in that calendar year.
In 2016, he left Leritz, Plunkert, and Bruning to start his firm, The Bruning Law Firm, along with his brother and father. Currently, he handles practices in the areas of product liability, class action, and personal injury.
A.J. is also dedicated to helping our region grow and succeed. He is the founder and chair of the Downtown St. Louis Neighborhood Crime Watch Association. In addition, A.J. was appointed by the Mayor of St. Louis to be on the Gateway Mall Advisory Board.
