Beginning in 2015, leaders from the Arizona Asian American Bar Association, Arizona Black Bar, Los Abogados Hispanic Bar Association, and Native American Bar Association– Arizona recognized a growing need to coordinate and foster dialogue amongst Arizona’s diverse bar organizations as an ongoing benefit to each organization’s individual membership. From their efforts, the Arizona Collaborative Bar was born to serve as a pipeline for communication and to provide an avenue to explore creative, strategic, and innovative collaborations.

Since 2015, the Arizona Collaborative Bar has expanded to include ten Arizona diverse bar organizations, including the following organizations:

The Arizona Collaborative Bar remains committed to fostering dialogue and partnerships amongst the member organizations as part of our shared commitment to advance and promote diversity and inclusion in the Arizona legal community. For its work, the Arizona Collaborative Bar was honored to be selected as the 2017 winner of the State Bar of Arizona’s Diversity and Inclusion Award.

The Arizona Collaborative Bar also seeks to provide meaningful professional development opportunities – including CLEs and networking events – for all diverse bar members. For example, the Arizona Collaborative Bar hosts its annual reception in early September, which continues to be our most anticipated and best-attended event each year with nearly 150 attorneys and members from the legal community in attendance.
