Polsinelli’s Maria Fernanda Hubbard Appointed to Attorney Regulation Advisory Committee

Maria Hubbard

Maria Fernanda Hubbard of Polsinelli’s Phoenix office has been appointed to serve on the Arizona Supreme Court Attorney Regulation Advisory Committee (ARC). Appointment to the committee is by Arizona’s Chief Justice.

In her role, Hubbard will assist the Arizona Supreme Court and the Chief Justice on issues relating to attorney regulation, including attorney examination, admissions, reinstatement, disability and the lawyer discipline process.

Hubbard is a member of Polsinelli’s Insurance Recovery group and works with corporate policyholders to proactively help them develop creative and cost-effective insurance coverage strategies designed to minimize long term insurance recovery costs and the risk of protracted litigation.
Prior to joining Polsinelli, Hubbard clerked for the Honorable Ann A. Scott Timmer on the Arizona Supreme Court. She also served as an extern for the Honorable David C. Bury of the United States District Court for the District of Arizona.

Hubbard is actively engaged in the local and national legal community. One of only 50 Latina lawyers in the United States selected across all sectors of the legal profession, Hubbard was chosen to participate in the 2017 Latina Leadership Academy hosted by the HNBA Latina Commission. Hubbard was recognized earlier this month by the Arizona Foundation for Legal Services & Education as one of the 2018 recipients of the Top Pro Bono Attorneys in Arizona award. She is a member of the Los Abogados Hispanic Bar Association, the Hispanic National Bar Association, and the Arizona Women Lawyers Association.
