BOSTON, MA—On October 19, Davis Malm shareholder Philip S. Olsen and associate Pamela N. Fourtounis presented on the Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education (MCLE) webinar, “IRS & Massachusetts DOR Procedural Challenges.” The program provided a practical overview of state and federal tax appeal options, covering each stage of a tax dispute from the initial audit, through administrative appeals, to litigation.
Mr. Olsen, Ms. Fourtounis, and their fellow panelists shared experiences and practical insights on tax controversy matters. Each panelist offered perspectives on negotiating with tax authorities, developing an effective record, and evaluating the potential risks and benefits of pursuing tax litigation.
