Hinshaw Announces Election of Three Partners in Florida

FLORIDA—U.S. law firm Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP is pleased to announce the election of three Florida attorneys in Miami, Fort Lauderdale and Tampa as new partners, effective January 1, 2022. The new Hinshaw partners are:

Financial Services attorney Peter A. Hernandez has been named a partner in the Miami office. Peter defends financial institutions in litigation involving the FDCPA, TCPA, Electronic Funds Transfer Act, Florida Consumer Collection Practices Act, and Florida Deceptive and Unfair Trade Practices Act. He also helps clients with regulatory compliance. Peter joined Hinshaw in 2019 as an Associate. Peter is admitted in the U.S. District Court for the Middle and Southern Districts of Florida. He holds a J.D. degree, cum laude, from St. Thomas University School of Law and a B.A. degree, cum laude, from Florida International University.

Insurance Services attorney Jenelle La Chuisa has been named a partner in the Fort Lauderdale office. Jenelle represents clients in international and domestic disputes involving insurance coverage, first-party property insurance, business contracts, and alleged fraud and conspiracy. She has litigated coverage disputes arising out of property, casualty, professional liability and builder’s risk policies. An arbitrator and advocate for clients in arbitration, she advises on best practices for dispute resolution provisions and arbitration agreements. Jenelle joined Hinshaw in 2020 as an Associate. Jenelle is admitted in the District of Columbia, Florida and the U.S. District Court for the Middle, Northern, and Southern Districts of Florida. She holds a J.D., cum laude, from St. Thomas University School of Law and a B.A., cum laude, from the University of Rochester.

Insurance Services attorney André D. Sesler has been named a Partner in the Tampa office. André is a civil litigator who advises insurers and policyholders on insurance coverage and claim-related issues. His extensive litigation experience includes the defense of clients in areas of professional liability, product liability, health care, premises liability, general liability defense, as well as claims of negligence, strict liability, first and third-party bad faith, and wrongful death. He is admitted in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit and the U.S. District Court for the Middle, Northern, and Southern Districts of Florida. André holds a J.D. from the University of Florida Levin College of Law and a B.S., cum laude, from the University of South Florida. He joined Hinshaw as an Associate in 2020.
