ALTON, IL—Simmons Hanly Conroy, one of the nation’s largest mass tort firms and a national leader in the legal representation of mesothelioma patients and their families, has elevated firm attorney Jared Hausmann to shareholder, effective Jan. 3.
Based in the firm’s Alton office, Hausmann focuses his practice on helping individuals and their families who have been affected by mesothelioma, a rare form of cancer caused by asbestos exposure. His practice concentrates on motions, defendant discovery and appeals.
Before joining the firm in 2016, Hausmann worked for two years as a law clerk in the staff attorney’s office of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit.
He received his J.D. (magna cum laude) from St. Louis University School of Law and his Bachelor of Arts (summa cum laude) from Eastern Illinois University.
