BATON ROUGE, LA — McGlinchey Stafford is pleased to announce that the American College of Commercial Finance Lawyers (ACCFL) has elected R. Marshall Grodner, a member in the firm’s Baton Rouge office, as the organization’s president, effective April 29, 2021.
Well-regarded for his secured lending experience, Marshall represents both Louisiana and out-of-state lenders and borrowers in large commercial finance transactions, locally, regionally and nationally. He is also a licensed title insurance agent and a leading voice in legal opinions, as well as a national lecturer on real estate, commercial finance, and legal ethics and professionalism.
Marshall previously served as ACCFL’s 2020 president elect, 2019 vice president, 2017-2018 treasurer, was elected a lifelong fellow of the College in 2006. In addition to a long history of ACCFL leadership, Marshall holds and has held leadership positions within the American Bar Association (ABA)’s Business Law and Real Property, Trust, and Estate Law Sections; the American College of Real Estate Lawyers; and the Association of Commercial Finance Attorneys, Inc.
ACCFL was founded in 1991 to promote the field of commercial finance law through education, legislative reform and the recognition of distinguished professionals. It aims to bring together into an association those highly qualified members of the legal profession who — by reason of their character, skill and ability — will contribute to the organization’s goals, accomplishments, and good fellowship.
