FORT LAUDERDALE, FL—Mansfield, Bronstein & Stone, LLP announced a strategic expansion of its legal team. Beatriz T. Suzuki joined the firm as a Partner; Carol Strauss Marcus joined as Of Counsel; and Renee Hudon and Jillian Philo joined as Associates. The firm also promoted Sulany Perez to Senior Associate. The additions extend the firm’s reach into health law and out-of-network insurance recovery, strengthen its community association and mediation capabilities, and add depth across its Florida and New York practices.
Suzuki joins from a Fort Lauderdale firm, where she was litigation lead for its health law unit. Her practice centers on breach of contract, statutory out-of-network insurance recovery, and business and agency disputes, and she represents physicians and healthcare providers before the Board of Medicine and the Department of Health in Florida and New York.
Marcus brings decades of experience, with a practice focused on representing community associations throughout Florida, from drafting Declarations of Covenants, Conditions, and Restrictions (CC&Rs) to covenant enforcement and lien foreclosure for condominium and homeowner associations.
Perez focuses on commercial litigation and business law, representing businesses and individuals in federal and state courts in contract disputes, business torts, employment, insurance coverage, and probate litigation matters.
Hudon brings hands-on experience from several Florida law firms, having worked as a litigation paralegal, a corporate paralegal, and a legal intern drafting tax, probate, real estate, and estate-planning documents.
Philo joins from an intellectual property litigation firm, where as Head Law Clerk she researched and drafted pleadings, motions, memoranda of law, and written discovery for e-commerce clients.
