MINNEAPOLIS, MN—Stoel Rives, an AmLaw 200 firm, announced today that Amber Lee has joined the firm’s Minneapolis office as Of Counsel in the Energy Development group.
A native Minnesotan, Lee has been based in Minneapolis for her entire legal career. Lee joins Stoel Rives from Alias Energy Consulting, where she was the president and assisted clients with all aspects of energy operations and regulations. Prior to that, Lee served as director of regulatory affairs for CenterPoint Energy, spearheading passage of Minnesota’s Natural Gas Innovation Act, which has become a national model for gas decarbonization policy.
Lee’s experience includes preparing regulatory filings, including for the Minnesota and North Dakota utility commissions and the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, as well as drafting and negotiating various development and financial agreements for the construction and refurbishment of generation resources.
