Ward and Smith Welcomes Five New Attorneys

RALEIGH, NC—Representing a breadth of capabilities spread throughout multiple offices, these professionals bolster the firm’s strength in key practice areas throughout North Carolina.

Among the new additions are litigator Hannah Daigle; Emily Martchek, a business attorney; Sydney Smith, a trusts and estates attorney; and Genesis Torres, a labor and employment attorney, all of whom worked with Ward and Smith as 2022 summer associates. Jameson Doub, a creditors’ rights attorney who just completed a federal clerkship, rounds out this new group.

Hannah Daigle’s litigation practice focuses on commercial litigation, community associations, personal injury, and a variety of other matters that progress through litigation.

Jameson Doub is a creditors’ rights attorney dedicated to helping financial institutions, lenders, and other creditors with collections issues, workouts, and bankruptcy proceedings.

Emily Martchek advises individuals, companies, and other entities on a wide range of business and corporate law matters.

Sydney Smith is a trusts and estates attorney with the firm.

Genesis Torres is a labor and employment attorney who helps employers and human resources professionals navigate complex employment law issues.
