Pennsylvania, PA—Pond Lehocky Managing Partner, Samuel H. Pond Esq. joins the Peggy Browning Fund host committee again after being named an honoree in 2020. Pond has been a longtime advocate of mission the Peggy Browning Fund stands for. The virtual Awards reception this year will be held on Thursday, April 15.
The Peggy Browning Fund is dedicated to educating and inspiring the next generation of law students to become advocates for workplace justice and labor law. The organization also recognizes distinguished social justice activists who are champions of the labor movement. This year, the Peggy Browning Fund is honoring this individual who has fought for the rights of working men and women: Catherine Scott, President, AFSCME District Council 47; Nicole Hunt, President, UNITE HERE! Local 634; and Joel Weisblatt, Arbitrator & Mediator.
Pond is the Founding and Managing Partner of Pond Lehocky Giordano, one of the largest workers’ compensation and disability law firms in Pennsylvania. A former President of the Philadelphia Trial Lawyers Association, he served for six years as treasurer of that organization’s Committee for a Better Tomorrow. He has previously served in leadership roles for numerous organizations, including chair of the Philadelphia Bar Association’s Workers’ Compensation Section and member of the Pennsylvania Board of Law Examiners.
