CORAL GABLES, FL—Two former Eleventh Circuit clerks who have helped drive some of Podhurst Orseck’s biggest results, Pablo Rojas and Christina “Marty” Martinez, have been named partners of the litigation boutique. Rojas and Martinez share more than a promotion date. Both clerked for Judge Adalberto Jordan of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit and joined Podhurst Orseck within a year of each other.
Since joining the firm in 2019, Rojas has helped recover more than $800 million for clients in cases against federal agencies, Fortune 500 companies, global manufacturers and major insurers. He was on the team that secured more than $1 billion in judgments arising from the crash of the aircraft carrying the Chapecoense soccer team and the historic $127.5 million settlement with the FBI related to the 2018 Parkland school shooting. At trial in 2022, he won a $13 million construction-accident verdict, among Florida’s highest personal injury verdicts that year, and in 2025 he secured a landmark summary judgment for a corporate client in a commercial dispute involving roughly $700 million in claimed damages.
Since joining in 2020, Martinez has authored or co-authored more than 30 appellate briefs before Florida’s District Courts of Appeal and Supreme Court, the Eleventh Circuit, and the U.S. Supreme Court, and has argued multiple appeals in Florida’s appellate courts, including on issues of personal jurisdiction and punitive damages. She also maintains a broad civil trial practice, handling high-profile matters from investigation through trial.
Martinez is part of the trial team that secured a jury verdict in federal court for client Circuitronix, LLC and the appellate team that defended the resulting $9.2 million judgment, closing the book on a years-long breach of contract dispute. She also helped secure a Third District Court of Appeal decision upholding a client’s right to seek punitive damages in a wrongful death case arising from a fatal fire at a Miami Beach apartment building.
