Venable Foundation Awards More Than $1M to 128 Nonprofits in Its Second Round of 2026 Giving

WASHINGTON, DC—In its second round of gifting this year, the Venable Foundation announced that it has granted $1,175,000 to 128 nonprofits across the United States to support operations, programming and other community-focused initiatives. The grants include $470,000 to 45 organizations in Washington, DC/Northern Virginia; $265,000 to 20 organizations in Baltimore; $167,500 to 21 organizations in New York City; $120,000 to 18 organizations in Los Angeles; $50,000 to eight organizations in San Francisco; $37,500 to seven organizations in Chicago; $40,000 to six organizations in Miami; and $25,000 to three organizations in Denver. Grants are given to nonprofits that align with one of the foundation’s eight focus areas—arts and culture, education, environment, health, human services, legal services, workforce development, and youth impact—and are located in a city where Venable operates. While grant amounts may vary, the average amount awarded is $10,000.
