WASHINGTON, DC—Venable LLP is pleased to announce several appointments to leadership roles within the firm.
Stacie E. Tobin has been appointed co-chair of the Litigation Division, joining Geoffrey R. Garinther. Ms. Tobin, who previously served as partner-in-charge of the Baltimore office, is a litigator who focuses on commercial and product liability matters.
Gregory A. Cross has been appointed partner-in-charge of the Baltimore office. Mr. Cross serves on the firm’s board. He leads Venable’s Bankruptcy and Creditors’ Rights Group, as well as the firm’s Commercial Mortgage-Backed Securities (CMBS) Practice.
Charles J. Morton, Jr. has been appointed managing partner of the Baltimore office. Mr. Morton’s past leadership roles outside the firm include chairing the Global Board of Directors of the Association for Corporate Growth and serving as the general counsel for the Maryland Chamber of Commerce. He is celebrated for his abilities in guiding mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and financing transactions.
Daniel P. Hoffer has been appointed co-partner-in-charge of the Los Angeles office alongside Mitchell Evall. Mr. Hoffer, a co-chair of the Commercial Litigation California Practice Group, is an accomplished litigator who focuses on all aspects of employment law, commercial matters, and class action defense.
Mr. Evall will transition out of the Los Angeles role at the end of the year in order to focus on his position as partner-in-charge of lateral integration.
