2025
Family Law Special Issue

Attorney at Law Magazine is proud to introduce its 2025 Family Law special issue celebrating family law lawyers nationwide.

Lawyers! Welcome to our Second Annual Family Law Special Issue. I’m excited to introduce you to several practitioners who are passionately fighting for families across our country.

Our cover story and Attorney of the Month, Natalie Webb, is a Dallas-based family lawyer who is building on the legacy started by her father, Brian Webb. In carrying on her father’s firm with her brother, she has developed a culture that supports family as they provide realistic expectations to their clients and help them move forward with their lives.

In Wisconsin, Odalo J. Ohiku has built a practice built on purpose – of helping people be treated fairly and equitably. His early cases involving children led him to become trained in mediation, so he can “put the power back in the hands” of his clients. This philosophy pervades his practice.

Samantha Klein has taken up the mantle as the head of the California family law practice at international powerhouse Withers. Samantha is leading a team of practitioners with an emphasis on professionalism and an individualized approach to each family that comes with its own unique dynamics.

Debra R. Schoenberg has practiced family law for more than 35 years. She and her team have handled more than 15,000 cases, but Debra focuses on the relationships at the core of the practice – the dismantling of a marriage relationship and the transition to a co-parenting relationship as well as the attorney-client connection.

Hossein Berenji, the owner of Berenji & Associates Family Law Attorneys, has spent his entire career focused on the practice of family law. He was deeply shaped by his own parent’s divorce and enjoys the privilege of helping people with the most important thing in their lives – family.

The issue also brings you insights and trends in family law from several attorneys nationwide. Padideh Jafari calls for a new approach to when a child’s safety should trump parental rights. Jeff Korek discusses systemic issues in IVF clinics with a call for further oversight. Lawren D. Burroughs sets out a legal framework for parentage and support for LGBTQ families. Hossein Berenji and Steven Kunysz examine the modern prenup with the rise of digital assets and digital entrepreneurship. Anna N. Blood delves into the necessity of financial analysis at the center of every divorce.

Thank you to all the lawyers who participated and helped make this a great issue!

Happy Reading,
