Casner & Edwards Advises Sturbridge Metallurgical Services in Sale to Phenna Group

BOSTON, MA—Casner & Edwards represented Sturbridge Metallurgical Services, Inc. (SMS), a Massachusetts-based provider of metallurgical, materials and microscopy testing services, in its sale to Phenna Group, a global provider of Testing, Inspection, Certification and Compliance (TICC) services. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed. The Casner deal team included Peter F. Cifichiello, a partner in the firm’s Corporate Group, and Sebastian Estrada, an associate. They advised SMS on all legal aspects of the transaction, from initial negotiations and due diligence through the definitive agreement and closing.
