Taylor Waldrop Pribisco: Built on Teamwork

At first glance, it might seem unusual to compare a law firm to a sports team—but for the attorneys at Taylor Waldrop Pribisco, the analogy is not only appropriate, it’s foundational. The firm, anchored by partners Clyde Taylor III, Bradley Waldrop and Tim Pribisco, thrives on a dynamic of mutual support, collaborative problem-solving, and leveraging each member’s strengths—much like a well-coached team that knows how to win.

“All three of us played organized sports,” says founding partner Clyde Taylor III. “Doing your best and learning from each experience is part of what you learn playing organized sports. We’ve carried those lessons into how we run our practice.”

The result is a firm with a clear identity and unified voice—one that’s both aggressive in advocacy and pragmatic in execution. Taylor Waldrop Pribisco is known for tackling even the most difficult cases with a shared commitment to achieving the best possible outcome, no matter the odds. “We’re going to get the best results in the worst circumstances,” says Waldrop. “And we do that by working together.”

A TEAM OF COMPLEMENTARY STRENGTHS

Taylor Waldrop Pribisco isn’t a firm where attorneys go it alone. Instead, it functions as a collective, where cases are regularly discussed, dissected, and strategized as a group. It’s a deliberate structure that reflects their shared sports back-ground and legal synergy.

“We consult with one another on every case,” says Pribisco. “It’s not just a matter of bouncing ideas off each other – our workflow procedure builds in collaboration. We’re not just playing lip service to the whole team concept. It’s embedded into how we function.”

Each partner brings unique experience to the table. Waldrop’s roots are in criminal law—he began his legal career as a prosecutor and gravitated toward family law because it provided a meaningful way to advocate for clients in crisis. “I got into law because I’ve always wanted to help people. Family law, in particular, allows me to do that every single day,” he says.

Pribisco started his legal career in civil litigation, but eventually gravitated toward his true passion of criminal law. Inspired by courtroom dramas like Law & Order during his college years—and nudged toward the legal profession by supportive parents—Pribisco has found the real-life version even more rewarding. “I genuinely love what I do,” he says.

Taylor, whose name appears above the firm’s door, carries on a proud legacy. His father, Clyde Taylor Jr., founded the firm and spent his career championing underdogs and taking on unpopular causes. “He was a true trial lawyer,” Taylor says with admiration. “I always respected how he fought for the people who needed it most.” But while Taylor shares his father’s sense of justice, his own passion lies in appellate work—something his father admittedly never enjoyed.

“Appellate law is about precision and perspective,” Taylor explains. “It’s more about the long game, and I really connect with that.”

Together, their skills form a powerful trifecta. Waldrop brings courtroom prowess and deep empathy for clients navigating personal upheaval; Pribisco contributes a keen sense for courtroom advocacy; and Taylor anchors it all with strategic legal interpretation and appellate expertise.

We’re not just playing lip service to the whole team concept. It’s embedded into how we function.”

TECHNOLOGY MEETS TRADITION

Despite the firm’s deep roots in traditional, personalized legal service, Taylor Waldrop Pribisco is also at the forefront of using technology to better serve its clients. Like many firms, they were forced to adapt during the COV-ID-19 pandemic—but unlike many, they embraced the opportunity to modernize and streamline their practice.

“Technology has changed everything,” Taylor says. “We used to insist on in-person meetings, but now we’ve realized how much can be done electronically. It’s been a big change, but a positive one.”

For Taylor’s appellate work, the shift has been especially welcome. “I can submit almost everything via email now,” he notes. “It saves clients time and money, and allows us to work more efficiently.”

Waldrop, who describes himself as “very much a yellow pad, old-school kind of guy,” admits that technology wasn’t always intuitive for him—but he saw the writing on the wall. “COVID really forced the legal profession to evolve,” he says. “We were a little ahead of the curve because we didn’t just adapt to the changes—we maximized them. We use technology as a tool to become better, more efficient lawyers.”

Pribisco agrees. “Our whole process is built to be both high-touch and high-tech,” he says. “We want to make things easier for clients, more accessible, and more immediate—while still delivering the personalized service we’ve always been known for.”

This blend of traditional values and modern tools has become a hallmark of the firm. Whether it’s conducting consultations by video, using secure portals to exchange documents, or streamlining court filings, Taylor Waldrop Pribisco uses every available advantage to put their clients in the best possible position.

THE CULTURE OF COLLABORATION

It’s clear that the firm’s approach is as much about internal culture as it is about client results. Collaboration isn’t just a strategy—it’s the atmosphere. The partners not only work closely together, but genuinely enjoy doing so.

“I’m grateful to go to work every day with attorneys I consider close friends,” Waldrop says.

This camaraderie is more than a morale booster—it has practical value for clients, too. By treating every case as a team effort, the firm ensures that no issue goes unexplored, and no opportunity for success is missed. Their approach is thorough, thoughtful, and cohesive—qualities that make a real difference in high-stakes legal matters.

While their primary focus is the Seventh Circuit, the attorneys at Taylor Waldrop Pribisco are intentional about building relationships beyond the im-mediate geographic area. They regularly collaborate with outside firms and attorneys to offer clients expanded reach and broader perspectives.

“We may be a local firm, but we think globally,” says Pribisco. “We’re always working to stay connected with the broader legal community.”

GUIDED BY PRINCIPLE, DRIVEN BY PURPOSE

What truly sets Taylor Waldrop Pribisco apart is their shared philosophy – doing meaningful work that helps real people.
That philosophy began with Clyde’s father and continues in the firm’s commitment to standing with clients—even when the cause is unpopular or the case seems unwinnable. “My dad always fought for the underdog,” Taylor recalls. “That made a big impression on me, and I’ve tried to follow that example in my own career.”

Waldrop’s advocacy stems from a deep belief in justice and a drive to make a difference. “When people are going through the hardest time in their lives, they need someone who’s not only smart and capable—but who actually cares,” he says.

Pribisco, who discovered his legal calling through a mix of curiosity, encouragement and passion, finds fulfillment in the impact his work can make. “It’s not about prestige—it’s about people,” he says. “That’s what I love about working with Clyde and Brad, we can bring our different strengths together to really help those people.”

LOOKING AHEAD

With their strong foundation, team-focused ethos, and future-facing mind-set, Taylor Waldrop Pribisco is poised for continued success. Their formula is refreshingly simple yet powerful – a group of like-minded attorneys, each with distinct strengths, working together in harmony to serve their clients with integrity, determination, and care.

“Every case is a team case here,” says Waldrop. “And because of that, our clients get the best we have to offer—not just from one of us, but from all of us.”

As legal practice continues to evolve, one thing is certain, Taylor Waldrop Pribisco will continue to lead with teamwork, trust and a commitment to doing what’s right—on the field, in the courtroom, and beyond.
