Event Details

The National Institute brings government, defense, and relators’ counsel together for collegial discussion of trends and developments in False Claims Act investigations and litigation.

We will open with an optional FCA 101 session for lawyers new to the practice, or old hands who might have missed something.

Learn how courts are applying the most recent Supreme Court precedents, learn about mediation, litigation, and trial strategy, and explore some of the most active enforcement areas, from healthcare fraud to cyber-fraud and pandemic relief.

The Civil False Claims Act is a vigorous and hard-fought area of federal practice, with settlements and judgments totaling billions of dollars each year.   For more than two decades, the National Institute on the Civil False Claims Act and Qui Tam Enforcement has brought together leading specialists from the front lines—the Civil Division of the Department of Justice, leading defense firms, and counsel representing whistleblowers—to discuss this vibrant–yet mysterious to many–area of litigation and enforcement.
