Daniel Diaz Leyva is a partner with the law firm of Infante Zumpano, one of the largest certified minority owned law firms in the country. His real estate experience includes assisting developers and investors in the structuring, acquisition, financing and development of industrial, retail, office and residential properties as well as negotiating and draft ing commercial leases for both landlords and tenants. In addition to his real estate practice, Daniel is Infante Zumpano’s director of business development responsible for the firm’s strategic planning, marketing initiatives and development efforts. Th rough this role, he has been instrumental in supporting the firm’s overall growth, including, the development of an insurance defense practice representing Florida’s largest property insurance companies and expanding Infante Zumpano’s representation of Fortune 500 companies with matters ranging from litigation to labor & employment. He has also helped the firm elevate its brand awareness across the country securing Infante Zumpano’s position as one of the leading law firms in Florida.

As a minority owned law firm, promoting and fostering diversity is at Infante Zumpano’s core. Personally, Daniel is passionate about public service and actively engaged in the community. He was recently honored by The Miami Foundation with its prestigious “Ruth Shack Leadership Award”. This award is given annually to an emerging leader who embodies the qualities of ethical leadership, dedication and service to Greater Miami.

He serves on the board of directors of the CHARLEE Homes for Children, a private foster care agency with over 200 employees caring for approximately 1,000 children in Miami-Dade County, and the council of trustees for Banyan Health Systems, a comprehensive behavioral healthcare and rehabilitation program servicing over 800 adults and adolescents daily at various South Florida locations in the areas of substance abuse and mental health. He is also on the South Florida regional council for the Hispanic Business Initiative Fund (HBIF), the leading Hispanic non-profit economic development organization in Florida specializing in bilingual business development to Hispanic entrepreneurs trying to establish or expand their business, and the board of directors of the Latin Builders Association (LBA), an advocacy group that encompasses a vast array of individuals and companies related to the South Florida construction industry.

Service to others is part of Daniel’s value system. He leads by example. This enables him to establish strong partnerships in order to achieve his goals which he has done with extraordinary success. Daniel is clearly an emerging leader to watch in 2013.
