WRONG! Texas has a long constitution (1876), but it is far shorter than the longest in the country.

CORRECT! Alabama’s 1901 constitution is the longest in the world, with well over 800 amendments and more than 300,000 words. It was written in part to limit local government power and entrench state control, so even minor local matters often require a statewide amendment.
