PALM BEACH GARDENS, FL—John Fumero and Susan Martin, Partners at Nason Yeager Gerson Harris & Fumero, P.A., recently won a case allowing the issuance of a Southwest Florida Water Management District (SWFWMD) permit authorizing an 86 single family home residential development with docks and cementing the developer’s claim to use of the Hunter Point canal. Hunters Point is a development of 86 zero-energy homes that self-generate and store electrical power on the north side of Cortez Road in west Manatee County.
The SWFWMD announced the decision to adopt an Administrative Law Judge’s order following a 10-day trial during a May 23, 2023 governing board meeting in Tampa.
“This case meant so much to our client who had his residential development halted due to a legal challenge filed by a neighboring marina facility,” said Susan Martin. “We want to thank the SWFWMD attorneys and staff for their diligent work on this case.”
